ARTWORK & ORDERING

Metal Print Artwork & Ordering Help

Bring your best original image, choose the right proportions, and check the final crop. This guide walks you through preparing a file and reviewing your custom metal print before checkout.

Start with a JPEG or PNG

Use a JPEG or PNG exported from your original photograph or artwork file. Choose the largest useful version you have, with the detail and edits you want to print. A screenshot or an image downloaded from social media may contain less information than the original.

Open the file before uploading. Check that it is the correct image, correctly oriented, and free of unwanted borders, watermarks or editing guides. If you are reproducing artwork, include only the edges and background you want visible on the finished panel.

Check the detail after cropping

Look beyond the DPI label

Pixel dimensions describe how much image information your file contains. Changing the DPI number without adding real detail will not make a small or blurry image sharper.

Check the remaining pixels

Cropping removes pixels. Divide the remaining image dimensions by the print dimensions in inches to calculate effective PPI, and inspect fine details at a useful zoom level.

Consider the final size

The same file spreads its pixels over more space on a larger print. If fine detail looks soft, consider a smaller size, a less aggressive crop or a better source file.

See worked examples and format comparisons in the metal print size guide.

Prepare your image in Pixeluxe Studio

  1. Choose the product configuration. Select your size, finish and compatible mounting option on the product page, then open the photo upload workflow.
  2. Upload your original file. Keep a copy of that original so you can return to it when comparing sizes or starting another print.
  3. Set the orientation and crop. Position the image inside the print boundary. Use zoom deliberately: moving closer removes more of the surrounding image.
  4. Review the entire preview. Check faces, text, signatures, horizons and details near every edge before adding the print to your order.

Reusing an image in another size

Return to the original image when comparing another format. Review the crop again whenever the aspect ratio changes; the placement that works for 12 × 18 may cut off detail at 8 × 10.

Keep the source file until your order is complete so you can upload it again if needed.

Review and edit before checkout

Check each item in your cart for the intended image, size, finish, frame choice and quantity. If you need to revise an item, use its available edit controls and review the resulting preview again. Remove unwanted versions so you do not order duplicates.

Confirm the delivery address and the final order details before paying. If a preview or selected option does not match what you intended, pause the order and contact support with the page, selected options and a screenshot of the problem.

Let the finish work with your image

Gloss White and Matte White use a white base. Clear Gloss lets the aluminum influence white and light areas. Compare the finish with the subject and the lighting where the print will be displayed.

Compare the three metal print finishes or request a sample before choosing a larger piece.
