THE PIXELUXE FINISH GUIDE

Compare Gloss White, Matte White & Clear Gloss Metal Prints

The same photograph can feel different on a white base or exposed metallic tones. Compare the three ChromaLuxe finishes, consider the light in your room, then choose the surface that suits your image.

Three finishes. One image. A different impression.

Start with two decisions: whether you want a white or metallic base, and how reflective you want the surface to be. These differences matter most in bright highlights, pale colors and the light falling across your print.

Pixeluxe Gloss White metal print presentation

Gloss White

White base · reflective surface

A white base gives light areas of your image a white foundation. The glossy surface creates a reflective presentation that can suit colorful landscapes, wildlife and photographs with strong contrast.

Choose it when you enjoy a glossy look. Consider windows and direct lighting when deciding where the print will hang.

Pixeluxe Matte White metal print presentation

Matte White

White base · reduced surface glare

Matte White keeps the white foundation while reducing surface glare compared with a gloss finish. It is a useful option for portraits, artwork and images that call for a quieter presentation.

Compare it with Gloss White in your intended room, especially when reflections could distract from the image.

Pixeluxe Clear Gloss metal print presentation

Clear Gloss

Metallic base · glossy surface

The clear coating lets the silver aluminum influence the image. White and very light areas reveal the metal rather than a white base, giving the print a distinct metallic character.

Consider how that shift will affect skin tones, pale backgrounds and important highlights. A sample is especially useful here.

Compare the same image in the same light

Use the same photograph or artwork when assessing finish differences. Look at bright highlights, fine detail, neutral tones and dark areas, then change your viewing angle to see how reflections behave.

A screen cannot reproduce the surface of aluminum. The images above illustrate the finishes; an in-person sample is the better way to judge the material in your room.

A useful starting point

Want a white foundation? Compare Gloss White and Matte White first. Want the aluminum to be part of the image? Explore Clear Gloss.

Choose your finish, then your frame

The finish controls the surface of the image. A rear inset frame changes how the panel is supported and presented. It sits behind the metal print rather than forming a visible border around the artwork.

Choose a size first, then review the compatible frame options and current price on the product page. Explore framed metal prints.

Keep the composition when choosing a size

A square, portrait, landscape or panoramic format can change what fits inside the print. Match the aspect ratio to your original image where possible, then check the crop before ordering.

Care and display questions

Handle the panel by its edges and avoid abrasive pads or harsh cleaners. For cleaning products or a particular display environment, contact support with the finish you are considering so you can get advice for your print.
